Introduction to ChristianitySunday 6:00-8:00PM | Seobinggo Rm 201
Pastor Don Sutton: don@onnurienglish.org This ABF will use the Bible as a textbook and learn the foundational truths of the historic Christian faith. Through this class you will come to a point where you will make a commitment to follow Jesus if you have not already done so. If you are a follower of Jesus, you will strengthen your foundation in Him. You will understand the difference between “essential” and “non-essential” Bible doctrines, and you will learn how to shape your world view - your view of God, the Bible, Jesus, man’s nature, and more! Joy Starts HereSunday 6:00-8:00PM | Seobinggo Campus Rm B102
Dr. Sam Lee: heechoon.sam.lee@gmail.com Joy means we are glad to be together. When shared, joy produces strong bonds and loving relationships. But can we get joy in today’s world, in a society that is becoming more and more individualized, digitized, and traumatized? Authors E. James Wilder, Ed M. Khouri, Chris M. Cousey, and Shelia D. Sutton take us through the exciting steps of being able to find real joy. This ABF will include assessments and joy building activities along with group exercises over 9 weeks to attain, grow, and cultivate real joy. |
Sunday 1:30-3:30PM | Dogok Campus Joy Hall
Dr. Soon Jin Choi: bubbachoi@utexas.edu
The Book of Isaiah is perhaps the best known of the prophetic books because it is one of the most quoted Old Testament books in the New Testament. We are studying the word of God revealed through the prophecies of Isaiah. First we will identify the itinerary structure of the whole book of Isaiah, both in macrostructure and microstructure. Secondly, we will build up a strategy of reading and interpreting the book. The messages proclaimed by Isaiah are still relevant to us modern believers. Finally, we will learn how Isaiah’s message is embodied in our daily life.
